I have had a very busy and productive day today! My day started at 1:30 this morning with my phone ringing every 3-5 minutes. I was on call at work. Not fun. I finally got into bed about 4:00 AM only to toss and turn until I finally went on and got up at 6:30 AM.
I was at the grocery store by 8:30 AM with my Starbucks Tall White Mocha in hand, home again by 9:45 AM, groceries put away and kitchen cleaned by 10:30 AM.
My mother came over to my house around 11:15 AM to scrap with me. Before we got started, we went to Michael's where I scored a Cricut Elegant Edges cartridge! That made my day! After we ate a delicious lunch from Corner Bakery (only after I had to cook extra bacon for the BLT I ordered because they only gave me half a slice of bacon!), we started scrappin'!
I am getting real big on "Cricut-izing" regular scrapbook layouts, cards and such. I recently saw a tutorial about a Side Step Card on SplitCoastStampers.com. Their finished product was really cute but I thought I could use my Cricut to C.A.S.E. it.
This is what I worked on for the rest of my day today...
I used April Showers (boots, watering can, and flowers), and Freshly Picked (sign), Plantin SchoolBook (grass), and Celebrate with Flourish (cloud and sun).

Mother & Daughter Scrapbook Layout
This scrapbook layout was inspired by the Mother's Day card I made earlier this week. I love the flower and the colors!

Mother's Day Card
I am not a naturally creative person. I am always getting inspiration from others. I believe that lifting something created by someone else is a compliment to that person as long as you give them credit.
I was flipping through the May 2011 Stampin' Success magazine and came across a beautiful Mother's Day card. I totally lifted this card from Stampin' Up! The only difference between mine and theirs is that I used the Cricut Mother's Day Bouquet Cartridge to make my flower; everything else is Stampin' Up!
